Square Georges Lamarque (1904)
Mobilized in 1939 in the French army, Georges Lamarque refused the armistice of July 1940 and entered the intelligence networks. Lamarque, alias “Petrel”, spied on the German armies and gave the allies valuable information. He was shot in 1944 at the age of 30. A stele here pays tribute to him.
