Born May 8, 1806 at Fort Mill York District, South Carolina. He came to Texas sometime after May 2, 1835 and before March 2, 1836. In the Headright Certificate issued to him in 1838 by the Board of Land Commissioners of Harrisburg County it is simply stated that he arrived in Texas before March 2, 1836. Had he arrived before May 2, 1835 it would have been so stated in the certificate.(Submitted on May 18, 2024, by James Hulse of Medina, Texas.)
