1. Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany Marker

Inscription. A symbol of the City of New Albany's commitment to the well-being of its residents, the Philip Heit Center is the result of a shared vision to make New Albany the healthiest community in America.

The center is named in honor of Phil Heit, a health advocate and New Albany resident, who, in partnership with The New Albany Community Foundation, formed Healthy New Albany in 2010.

When forward thinking city leaders invested in the idea of building comprehensive health and wellness center, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital joined them as partners the venture, while The New Albany Company donated the land.

The vision of all involved creates a culture focused on improving the well- being of the entire community one resident at a time.
