The last of the 18 bridges between Echo Mtn. & Alpine Tavern was this large "S" shaped bridge which the trolleys crossed to reach the Alpine Tavern. Both end foundations of the bridge are still visible. If you look across the canyon to the road you can see them.

More about this marker. Located at Mt Lowe Trail Camp. Its a strenuous five mile hike from the Cobb Estate trailhead with an altitude gain of 3,000 feet, or a 2½ mile hike with 1,200 foot gain from Eaton Saddle.
