Inscription.
These plaques and this monument were commissioned in dedication to the Fort Wayne Daisies women’s baseball team. The Daisies proudly represented the City of Fort Wayne in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1945-1954. The Daisies played their home games at North Side High School from 1945-1946, and at Memorial Park from 1946-1954. This exceptional group of players and managers made it to the playoffs in every year from 1948-1954.
