Regarding Carlton Ernest Fisk. While Carlton Fisk is a New England native best remembered for his dramatic home run in game 6 of the 1975 World Series as a member of the Boston Red Sox, he actually spent the majority of his 24-year career including 1,421 of his 2,499 career games as a member of the Chicago White Sox. For the White Sox he appeared in four All-Star Games between 1981 and 1993, and he was a key part of the 1983 team, which won the American League Western Division championship. Fisk was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000; on his plaque he is wearing a Boston Red Sox hat.
