1. Merchant Marine Monument
Inscription.
This monument is dedicated to those who served and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the merchant marines in WWII
They delivered the materials across every ocean in the most difficult and dangerous times
They have written one of the most brilliant chapters of heroism in the historical annals of WWII
Their unmarked graves known only to God rest in peace in the waters where they died
We miss them
We respect them
We will never forget them
May this monument initiate a greater public understanding and be a constant reminder of their record in serving our country
