The Ogdensburg Declaration
In commemoration of the meeting on August 17-18, 1940, in Ogdensburg, of the President of the United States of America, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and the Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Honorable William Lyon Macenzie King, at which time and place they made known the intention of the two countries to cooperate in the defense of the North American continent in a declaration now known as the Ogdensburg Declaration.
The Kiwanis Clubs of Ogdensburg, N.Y. and Ottawa, Canada, do hereby in brotherly love dedicate this plaque to the furtherance of mutual understanding and international good will.
