Regarding Ukraine War and Flight MH17 Memorial. Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17, 2014, was shot down over Eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board. While Russia has denied involvement in the ensuing decade since the crash, an international investigation concluded in 2016 that a missile fired by Russian-backed rebels had shot down the plane.
