1. Teller County Courthouse Marker
In 1900, Teller County purchased the property, razed the McDougall Building, and designed a new Courthouse. The $60,000 construction cost included gilt chandeliers, oak paneling with mahogany trim, skylights, electrical fixtures, a 110-volt dynamo for electricity, hard wood floors, and marble counters. Many of the original features are still in service today.
