1. Remember the Liberty Marker

Inscription. This monument is intended to be a further memorial to the courage and bravery of the officers and crew of the USS Liberty which, unarmed and sailing under official orders in international waters of the eastern Mediterranean Sea was, on June 8, 1967, attacked by Israeli naval and air units killing 34 and wounding 171 of the ships complement and nearly sinking the ship.

Erected 1988.
