1. Science, Technology and Society Marker
Inscription. In 1969-70, leading faculty from the Colleges of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Science founded the nation's first interdisciplinary program in Science, Technology, and Society. Its integrative courses addressing critical courses addressing critical issues in these areas served as a model for similar programs at many other universities.
