| | The Avenue Concept | |
TAC worked with local artists Fu'una and Joanna Vespia to select great women artists as the subjects of a series of three murals that pay homage to the artists' lives and work. Fu'una chose to feature Georgia O'Keeffe, one of the most significant artists of the 20th century. Renowned for her contribution to modern art. Georgia is best known for her paintings of the New York skyline, radial and enlarged flowers, and the New Mexico landscape, where she lived for the later part of her life. Portraits of Yayoi Kusama and Alma Thomas complete the triptych.
"I had to create an equivalent for what I felt about what I was looking at not copy it." Georgia O'Keeffe
