1. Dalton Gang Homestead Marker

Inscription.
Red Oak II was not intended to be a town for outlaws. Sometimes, a particular building or house becomes available that we feel must be saved. This is the case with the Dalton Gang Homestead. This house was located just east of Vinita, OK and was moved to its present site in 1992 and restored.

The add-on to the back of the Dalton Gang homestead was found built inside another building behind the original location of the Dalton Gang homestead east of Vinita, OK and was originally a bunk house used as a place for the hired hands to sleep. It now houses the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and a second bedroom of the Dalton Gang homestead. There is an Aermotor windmill behind the Dalton House. This house is currently a private residence.
