Inscription. Speaking to all humanity, and seeming to speak about Anne, Dr. Albert Schweitzer once made an observation that is particularly applicable: "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know, the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve." And serve she did. Park District secretary, treasurer, acting director, village trustee, garden club, citizen, servant, resident, skater, counciliator, visionary, mentor, friend. The quality of leadership has been defined as follows. "Leaders must be seen to be up front, up to date, up to their job, and up early in the morning." Anne's early morning workout kept her knowledgeable regarding the condition of the community. One never knew what might appear on their doorstep as a result of the morning's walkabout.
