Alfhild Hovdan (1904-82) - journalist and a leader in tourism. She was the driving force in Oslo's tourism industry. The city's first tourism manager, 1932-76. Office was here in the beginning. Started the training of Oslo guides. Christmas trees from Oslo to London from 1947. Took part in the Resistance during WW2.

Overview: Alfhild Hovdan (nιe Olsen; 13 September 1904 20 February 1982) was a Norwegian journalist, and later tourist manager for the city of Oslo for more than forty years.
