1853 Organized Marion hose Co. First fire company in the county. Disbands 1856.
1866 Reestablished & purchases old US hose carriage no 14 from Philadelphia.
1875 Purchases Silsby steam engine for $4000.
1883 Organizes its own band for concerts & parades.
1885 Citizens donated $3500 towards new Marion headquarters.
1903 Purchases hook & ladder truck for $1,413 & hose wagon for $563.
1907 Purchases LaFrance Steamer & enlarges fire house.
1918 WWII American Red Cross uses Marion for inspection of surgical dressings & for the making of bandages.
1925 New Mack pumper purchased, cost $8,200 to replace the horse drawn apparatus.
1953 The Mack pumper was retired, & a new Ford LaFrance took its place.
1980 The bar on the second floor closed.
1994 Marion Hose company closed.
1994 The Mauch Chunk Historical Society buys the Marion.
1996 Mauch Chunk Historical Society opens museum on 1st floor of Marion.
2011 Mauch Chunck Historical Society sells marion to current owner.
2012 2nd Floor opens Purple Audio, recording equip. manufacturer & recording studio utilizing The Mauch Chunk Opera house.
2017 Marion Hose Bar opens on 1st floor.
