Excerpt (in translation): Mosse Jørgensen was born at home at this address. She was an educator and school politician. She was among the most influential reform pedagogues in Norwegian school debate and in practical school experiments for more than thirty years. Jørgensen grew up in a bourgeois environment on Ruseløkka. She studied Norwegian, history and pedagogy at the University of Oslo. In 1957, she was employed as a secretary in the news department at NRK, and became the first woman to read the Dagsnytt messages on NRK Radio. In 1967, she helped start Forsøksgymnaset in Oslo, where she worked as principal and teacher. She also wrote five books about school and pedagogy and was politically active. She was a member of the Socialist People's Party's first central board in 1961-63 and represented the party in Oslo city council in 1992-94.(Submitted on July 24, 2024.)
