Inscription. An article in the Savannah Evening Press on October 13, 1937 stated, "The troop having no hall of its own had to hold meetings in first one place and then another. In 1935 through the efforts of General Van Horn Moseley a beautiful rustic hut was erected exclusively for the Scouts. Mrs. Joe McNinch was leader of the troop which claims a membership of twenty-six."
