1. Moncure Robinson Home Marker

Inscription. This magnificent 2½ story spacious brick home was constructed by the Little Schuylkill Navigation Railroad & Coal Co. in 1832 as part of a deal made to entice Moncure Robinson, a civil engineer from Virginia, to layout their proposed railroad from the Schuylkill Water Gap (Port Clinton) to the foot of the Broad Mountain (Tamaqua) following the Little Schuylkill River. This home served as his home & office and as a Post Office as he became Port Clinton's first Postmaster. It was used as a grocery store, and is currently renevated to original
