Commemorating the 226th anniversary of his birth in Virginia and his role in the development of historic Camden

Presented by the descendants of his daughter, Harriet Conway's three children:
the Elly Naudin Dibble family
the Wyatt E. Naudin family
the James Laurence Naudin family

2. Bonds Conway Marker and House
Located to the side of the steps at ground level. Steps to the front porch on the right
by his owner, Peter Conway who allowed him to hire himself out and earn money. He purchased his own freedom in 1793. Thereafter he worked as a skilled carpenter and also began to purchase land in Camden. By the time of his death, Conway owned land extending through the center of town
