Excerpt: Abraham Bas, butcher by profession, was a son of Hartog Bas and Sientje Peperwortel. He married Chaje Trobuschicht from Odessa in Amsterdam on 22 Mei 1907, a daughter of Moisje Trobuschicht en Hanna Mochalik. The couple had three children, of whom two presumably have survived the war…. Abraham Bas was killed in Auschwitz on 7 September 1942, together with his wife Chaje.
