Devoting his life to our community, David L. Danner was raised in Lemoyne and labored all his waking hours on the West Shore, mentoring and molding youth for fulfilling impactful roles in society. David was a teacher at Mechanicsburg Junior High from 1959 - 1965. From then until retirement in 1996, he served in many capacities in the West Shore School District, as teacher, coach, principal, and student advisor. He also served as President of the West Shore Education Association and was very active in representing fellow teachers in contract negotiations.

David Danner cared about everyone and everything. He was always energized and engaged and felt that his paramount goal in life was to educate, instruct, and live as an example to others in his quest to make a better world for all. David is an irreplaceable gem in the crown of our community.

Danner was an outstanding community leader and has been awarded a place on The Path of Leadership in The Peiffer Memorial Arboretum and Nature Preserve, August 28, 2022.
