Inscription. After 120 years the incorporated township of Selmer elected their first Female Mayor.

On November 2, 2021, the citizens of Selmer elected Sherry Lea Inman to govern the town of 4,400.

Mayor Inman's roots are deep in McNairy County. Growing up with parents who were business owners in Selmer, she continued into adulthood in business and in civic endeavors to ensure that her hometown prospered. Her love and her family and friends, the city, and county gave her the incentive to seek and win the city Mayor position in 2021.
