1. Silent Grove Baptist Church Marker
Inscription. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke to a group of people at Silent Grove Baptist Church in March of 1968 to rally local support for the Poor People's Campaign. The original church building where Dr. King spoke was destroyed by fire and was rebuilt on the same site in the 1990s. (Marker Number 1.)
