Grace Moore
1898 - 1947
Grace Moore, an internationally acclaimed Metropolitan Opera soprano, Broadway actress, and motion picture star, spent most of her childhood in a home located on this site. In 1923 and 1925, she starred in Irving Berlin's Music Box Revue on Broadway. Three years later, Moore made her Metropolitan debut in Puccini's La Boheme. In 1934 her movie, One Night of Love, brought grand opera to the motion picture screen.
