Dans ce square, un médaillon en bronze représente Frédéric Ozanam (1813-1853), essayiste, français et professeur d'histoire de littérature étrangère à la Sorbonne. En 1833, il fut l'un des fondateurs de la Confédération internationale de la société Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, société catholique d'aide aux personnes démunies. Le square abritait autrefois les vignes de l'église Notre-Dame-des-Champs.

In this square, a medallion in bronze represents Frédéric Ozanam (1813-1853), essayist, Frenchman and Professor of the History of Foreign Literature at the Sorbonne. In 1833, he was one of the founders of the International Confederation of Société Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Catholic Society for the Aid of Poor. The square was once home to the vineyard of the church of Notre-Dame-des-Champs.
