1. Fumee Falls Marker
Inscription.
Fumee Falls: Many weddings take place during the summer months on a foot bridge that crosses Fumee Creek. Picture taking at the falls is quite common using the falls as a backdrop. A funeral service has even been held here at the park. The Falls have long been used by both the local population and by the visitors traveling through since the horse and buggy days. The newspaper article records the park being used for a picnic well over a century ago.

QUINNESEC— The fourth passed off very quietly here. A number of our people went to Escanaba to attend the celebration there, and the only thing in the way of celebration which occurred at home was two picnics, one at Little Fumee Falls by the Catholic society, and the other south of the railroad track by a few of the villagers. Both were very enjoyable affairs, the one by the Catholic society netting them something over $75.00 clear of expense. But little drunkenness was visible, though of course some of it had to be indulged in, as well as a little fighting, both of which are very necessary adjuncts
