Inscription.

This house was constructed in 1935 as the farm home of a Matanuska Valley Colonist family. It was relocated in July 1995 from Farm Tract No. 94 to this permanent site within Palmer's Historic District. Working together to preserve our local history, many residents and supporters of this Museum project have brought about the restoration of these buildings. We invite you to experience the history of Palmer, Alaska 1935-1945 when you visit the Colony House Museum.
