+ 0.» eingemeisselt.

”Milestone 0” of Liechtenstein
The “Ständehaus” stood on this spot from 1867 to 1970. It was the first parliamentary building of the Liechtenstein Parliament. Due to its political importance, the Ständehaus was chosen as the starting point for the kilometer markings along the country roads in Liechtenstein. The sign “Km. 0. + 0.” was therefore carved into the threshold of the building.
Klafter | m²
The Klafter, actually the square Klafter, was introduced with the first law on land surveying in 1865. The land register was created as a tax cadastre in guilders and kreuzers as early as 1809. With the entry of the last new survey area, the Klafter was finally replaced by the square meter on May 11, 2017. The land register has been kept completely electronically since March 2018.
