Nació en Cuatrociénegas, Coahuila. Durante la Revolución proclamó el Plan de Guadalupe y asumió la Jefatura del Ejército Constitucionalista. Fue Presidente de México entre 1917 y 1920. Promulgó la Constitución de 1917.

Born in Cuatrocienegas, Coahuila. During the Revolution he proclaimed the Plan de Guadalupe and became the leader of the Constitutionalist Army. Carranza served as President of Mexico from 1917 to 1920. He enacted the Constitution of 1917.
