1. Livestock Company Co-op Marker

Inscription.
The Cedar City Co-op and Livestock Company ran cattle on its pasture north and west of Johnson's Fort until 1898. At that time, the stock-holders sold the land to Collins, Porter, and Edgar Clark and donated many of the proceeds to build a heating plant for Old Main at the Branch Normal School (now Southern Utah University), a building that was required by the state in order to keep the school in Cedar City.
