1. St. Joseph's Meadow Marker

Inscription.
Named after the Catholic Church's St. Joseph, the area across the street east of here was once a lush meadow that became a popular layover for travelers on the Old Spanish Trail. Here pioneers, explorers, and others could rest safely for a few days and water and feed their livestock.
