1. In Loving Memory of Steve Senecal Marker

Inscription. On March 15, 2007, Steve Senecal, an avid fisherman left the lighthouse boat ramp for a day of offshore fishing. When he did not return that evening the Coast Guard was notified and they began a 39 hour search of more than 4,300 square miles of ocean. Coast Guard rescue crews found his boat adrift around 12:30 a.m. the next day approx 27 miles northeast of St. Augustine, and Steve was not on board. He is believed to have fallen overboard and lost at sea.
