Inscription.
Oct 6th, 1936, four draftsmen from the Works Program Administration, documented the joints, wood types, and the lines of the hull of the Florida Skipjack located in Dunn's Creek. They created a two dimensional drawing containing the information needed for rendering a three dimensional hull shape.

• The Florida Skipjack seen here is the largest, most ambitious project the Heritage Boatworks of the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum has attempted to date.
• Heritage Boatworks volunteers began construction of the boat on display here in 2013.
• The picture below shows her maiden voyage on July 13th, 2017.

This boat was built through a grant from the Dr. JoAnn Crisp-Ellert Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida which recognizes the artistic aspects of the traditional joinery work used in boat carpentry. The grant was to fund the construction of a traditional sailing craft relevant to the maritime history of St. Augustine and Northeast Florida.
