In its 65 years of production here at 600 North Washington, Brin Glass supplied interior glass and mirrors for homes and businesses throughout the region, including some of Minneapolis' most iconic buildings: the ISA Tower, Sears Roebuck in Uptown and many of the early downtown skyways.

With crate loads of plate glass arriving from as far away as Belgium, France and Israel, craftsmen here would do the fabricating or finishing work before delivering it to contractors, framers and other clients.

Company founder Arthur Brin and his wife, Fanny, were well-known for their charity work. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt appointed Fanny to a national women's panel at the height of the Depression. She later became a delegate to the UN Conference and was present for the signing of the UN Charter in 1945.
