Inscription. This statues called a "Billy Yank", was erected by the Restore the Glory committee. It replaces a metal statue erected by Ford Post #14 GAR, which had been removed by 1920.

The face is that of Chad Albert who stood motionless 4 hours atop the pedestal during a cemetery tour on September 30, 2000.

We dedicate this statue to the men who fought to save the union 1861-1865 as we witness the Glory Restored May 24, 2003.
