1. 1967 Chena River Flood Marker
Fairbanks flooded in 1967; there was a fear that the SS Nenana might float away, so holes were drilled in her hull. Drilling holes in the hull caused the Nenana to sink into the pond where she was moored.
You can still see where those holes were repaired.
