Under the command of Colonel John Stockton, the Regiment trained in 1862-63 at Camp Stockton in Mount Clemens. Colonel Stockton was the son-in-law of Christian Clemens, the namesake of our city.
The cannon has been donated by the Mount Clemens Rotary Club in honor of the 100th anniversary of Rotary International.
