Regarding Elmhurst College. Elmhurst College, set on 48 acres in suburban Chicago, was established in 1871 as a seminary and for training teachers, and classes were exclusively in German until 1917. In 1924, the school was renamed Elmhurst College, and in 2020 it became Elmhurst University.
