1. Rev. George St. Angelo Marker
Inscription. The Rev. George St. Angelo, Class of 1943, returned to his alma mater in 1955 to serve as the College's first chaplain. In this role, he opened students' eyes to concepts of social justice by bringing prominent national speakers, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., to campus; initiating an exchange program with two historically black colleges in Atlanta; and organizing service trips to Chicago and other destinations around the country.

Regarding Rev. George St. Angelo. According to his obituary, St. Angelo organized the trip by North Central students to take part in the march on Selma in March 1965. That trip to Selma is memorialized in another "Legacies" marker a short walk away from this marker about St. Angelo.
