1. Alaska Commercial Fishermen's Memorial in Juneau Marker
Inscription.

Dedicated to the men and women who have given
their lives to the Alaska commercial fishing industry.

The purpose of this Memorial is to demonstrate support for the
commercial fishing industry by individuals, families, and
businesses; to salute the economic and social importance of
that industry within the State of Alaska; to remember those
commercial fishermen and women who have died; to provide a
quiet place for remembrance and reflection; and to serve as a
location for the annual Blessing of the Commercial Fishing Fleet
on the first Saturday morning in May.
