Albion Park
Albion Park was originally low marshland, near the source of the former Winter Brook. Although most residential development in this neighborhood did not occur until the 1890s, some early houses were sited on the large tract known as Polly Swamp in 1850. This park site remained undeveloped land until a public playground was constructed in 1950. Famous local neighborhood residents have included Admiral Alfred M Pride, naval aviation pioneer (Hudson Street) and Arthur Godfrey, radio/television entertainer (Lowell at Princeton Street).
