1. Chapinville Marker
Assabet River water passed through the nearby canal bed to the Chapin Mill. From 1866 to 1909, the Chapins employed hundreds of men and women who carded, spun, and wove cotton and wool into as many as 25,000 yards of cloth per year. You can walk through the southern end of the canal bed and see parts of its stone lining.
