De son vrai nom Constantin Rossi, Tino Rossi est une figure majeure de la chanson française du XXe siècle. Né à Ajaccio en 1907 et décédé à Neuilly-sur-Seine en 1983, il est l'interprète de Marinella, Tchi-tchi, Petit Papa Noël, Besame Mucho... Chevalier (1952), puis commandeur de la Légion d'honneur (1982), il fut le premier chanteur français à obtenir, en 1949, un disque d'or. Il est le recordman français de la vente de disques et mena également une carrière cinématographique, notamment dans les films de Jean Delannoy, André Cayatte, Sacha Guitry, Marcel Pagnol. Il prit part à plusieurs comédies musicales, revues et opérettes.

Baptisé en hommage à cet artiste populaire, le jardin sert d'écrin aux oeuvres de sculpteurs accomplis comme Brancusi, César, Zadkine... Dans ce musée à ciel ouvert, situé dans le cadre privilégié des bords de Seine, culture et nature dialoguent en harmonie.

Tino Rossi (real name Constantin Rossi) was a major figure in 20th century French song. Born in Ajaccio in 1907 and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1983, he was the singer of Marinella, Tchi-tchi, Petit Papa Noël, Besame Mucho... first a Knight (1952), and then Commander of the Legion of Honor (1982), he was the first French singer to earn, in 1949, a gold record. He is the French record holder for record sales and also had a film career, notably in the films of Jean Delannoy, André Cayatte, Sacha Guitry, Marcel Pagnol. He took part in several musicals, revues and operettas.

Named in homage to this popular artist, the garden serves as a showcase for the works of accomplished sculptors such as Brancusi, César, Zadkine... In this open-air museum, located in the privileged setting of the banks of the Seine, culture and nature converse in harmony.

Constantin "Tino" Rossi (29 April 1907 – 26 September 1983) was a French singer and film actor of Corsican origin.

Born in Ajaccio, Corsica, Rossi was gifted with a voice well suited for opera. He became a tenor in the French cabaret style. Later, he appeared in various movies. During his career it is reported he recorded over 2000 songs and he appeared in more than 25 films, the most notable of which was the 1954 production, Si Versailles m'était conté... directed by Sacha Guitry. His romantic ballads had especially women swooning and his art songs by Jules Massenet (1842–1912), Reynaldo Hahn (1875–1947), and other composers, sold out theaters wherever he performed.

Among his most famous hits, "Petit Papa Noel" sold over 30 million copies worldwide.

Over the course of his 50-year singing career, Tino Rossi recorded over 2000 songs and sold over 200 million albums making him one of the best selling (and mostly forgotten) artists of all time.
