Sts. Peter and Paul Church was founded in 1895 to cater to the many Polish immigrants coming to the fast-growing city, and specifically to this area close to both the Union Stock Yards and, erected in 1905, the Central Manufacturing District, whose northern border was a few blocks away on 39th Street (Pershing Road). This church building was erected in 1905.
