1. Greenhouse Ranges on 600 Acre Noe Estate side of marker
Evolving from the early 18th century Noe family farm on S, Blvd., the Noe Estate consisted of 3 homes, 3 greenhouse ranges, 3 cow barns for 350 milk cows, a commercial dairy, a 3 acre pond & 2 ice houses to provide ice for homes, dairy & rose production. Workers were housed in company homes along Noe Ave. & by the greenhouses. A 3rd range of greenhouses was built later on S. Blvd.

Louis Mulford Noe built his Italianate 3 story home for his bride, Emily Brant in 1871. The 3rd story burned in the 40s.
Louis Albert Noe (L.M. Noe's son) built his home overlooking Great Swamp, circa 1910, for his wife Bertha Collins.
Both Noes were early Township Mayors. Noe Ave. formerly Race Course Lane was renamed after Louis M. Noe.
Erected 2017 by Chatham Township Historical Society Bailey Brower, Jr. (great grandson of Louis M. Noe).
