Inscription. Milton S. Hershey strongly believed that opportunities for recreation would be critical to the success of his model town. He set aside 150 acres of land for a park that would serve as leisure grounds for the community. Hersheypark has grown into a premier family theme park that welcomes guests from around the world to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long.
