A farmer's house combined living and agricultural spaces under one roof. It was inhabited by citizens who lived entirely or part-time from farming. The rear gable front of this house is based on the medieval city wall. In 1980, the building was restored in an exemplary manner. The farmer's house, typical of Schorndorf, in the romantic corner "Im Sack" was probably built around 1660. It was inhabited by citizens who lived from farming either full-time or part-time. The rear gable front is based upon the medieval city wall. The well-preserved, enormous vaulted cellar of the house provides information about the importance of private storage at that time. On the facade you can see the large gate that led to the threshing floor, and to the left and right of it a mezzanine that probably contained fodder for the cattle. In 1980 the farmer's house was restored to perfection. The "Neidkopf" had to be replaced by a copy. The original is in the city museum.(Submitted on October 25, 2024.)
