1. Seventh Day Adventist Church Marker
Inscription. On this prairie knoll a Seventh-day Adventist Church and grade school was located. The congregation was organized by Pastor C. Nelson on May 23, 1880 in the home of Hans Johnson. All 12 persons agreed to honor the Lord's commandments including worshiping on Saturday the Bible Sabbath and having faith in Jesus. Hans P. Jensen was elected leader; John P. Christofferson, church clerk; and Hans Johnson, treasurer. The membership grew to around 30.

December 19, 1898, the congregation met and determined to build a church building as soon as the weather moderated. In September 1899, the congregation was meeting in their new church home.
